Application of Section 504/Americans with Disabilities Act to This Policy

Munson and the College adhere to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended 2008 (ADAAA); Sections 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended; and all other federal and state laws and regulations prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability. The Institute is committed to providing individuals with disabilities equal access and opportunity, and strives in its policies and practices to provide for the full participation of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of campus life. As related to the implementation of this policy, Parties may request reasonable accommodations for disclosed disabilities to the Title IX Coordinator at any point, including making a disclosure or report, and initiating a resolution procedure. Accommodations will be granted if they are appropriate and do not fundamentally alter the process. The Title IX Coordinator will not affirmatively provide disability accommodations that have not been specifically requested by the Parties, even where the Parties may be receiving accommodations in other Institute programs and activities. With the consent of the impacted student or employee, the Title IX Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Student Life Director/Title IX Coordinator for students and/or Human Resources for employee accommodations to ensure that approved reasonable accommodations (disability-related) are honored as applicable throughout any process related to this policy.
