Sarah Smith is Chair of Fine Arts and Photography and Associate Professor of Photography. Her work explores identity, memory, and kinship through photographic and performative practice. Recent highlights include You Will Be the Mirror (NewAlliance Foundation Art Gallery, CT State Gateway Campus, 2025), Blood & Spit (The Other Side, Utica, 2025), and a 2022 Light Work Grant exhibition in Syracuse. She has exhibited nationally and serves on the board of the Society for Photographic Education.
