Artist Statement: My work is informed by my extensive 8-year bicycle trip around the world where I explored over 60 diverse countries. During this valuable experience I found myself living within the history of the Silk Road and its extensive cross-cultural exchanges. My work functions as a structure for social interaction. I employ a collision of construction strategies that supports my storytelling, fragmented, improvisational and theatrical. My narrative offers a place to meet others from our community, to discuss current events, play, and perhaps a place to fall in love.
