On view now at Munson, “Trenton Falls: Stilled Waters | Still Here” is an exhibition blending classic artworks with contemporary media, celebrating the historic charm of Trenton Falls. The Haudenosaunee knew the falls first as Kuy-a-ho’-ra and Date-wä’-sunt-hä’-go (meaning Slanting or Leaping Waters and Great Falls). The waters may be stilled, but their once-powerful animation survives in Munson’s collections. 🌊
Artwork from three of our Pratt Munson faculty, deeply rooted in Utica’s landscape, present captivating animations echoing the historic allure of Trenton Falls in this exhibition. See a snippet of the works, and watch the full animations on view now!
