THE CURRICULUM

Students entering Pratt Munson in Fall 2026 will begin their Pratt education in one of Pratt Institute's prestigious BFA degree programs:

Communications Design (graphic design, illustration)     
Fine Arts (painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture and jewelry)     
Photography    
Art and Design Education (teacher preparation/certification)  

In addition to the majors listed above, students entering Pratt Munson in Fall 2027 will also have the opportunity to begin their Pratt education in one of the following degree programs:

Digital Arts (2-D animation, 3-D animation and motion arts, and art + technology)  
Interior Design  
Industrial Design

The foundation curriculum at Pratt Munson is identical to Pratt’s, ensuring a world-class education and seamless transition to Brooklyn.

RELOCATING TO BROOKLYN

Note that switching majors upon relocation may extend the duration required to earn your degree.  

Upon completing your studies on the Utica campus, you will seamlessly transition to Pratt's main campus in Brooklyn, NY to complete your BFA degree. Graduating from Pratt Institute, you will join a distinguished community of talented alumni.
